I have spent several hours today trying to paint several straight parallel lines on my current painting which is very close to completion now. However, it was not plain sailing and after several attempts which failed and ended up with me having to wipe off the paint yet again, I realised that it was the brush that I was using that was at fault and not my painting skills!
Yes, I know what you're going to say, something about bad workmen and their tools, but after switching the very small brush I was using for an equally small one with longer bristles, things seemed to go much easier and I completed the fine detail work that was needed.
Now I just need to touch up and sharpen several edges and it should be ready for varnishing, all ready for this weekend when it will be given to its intended owner.
Phew!!
