Running Man!

Homework is something I've got out of the habit of doing in recent years, but when my daughter Georgia was set a task for homework to create a piece of artwork based on a character out of a favourite story, she asked for my help.

They had been learning about sculpture at school and so after some thought we decided to try to make a sculpture of the Gingerbread Man.

As we were both new to the world of sculpting, we researched the topic tirelessly for at least 15 minutes before digging out some raw materials for the task. These included a piece of plaster board, some old chicken wire and a big tub of modelling clay.

Here is what we came up with.

I think we can both be rather proud of ourselves.

Not to be outdone, Olivia, made her own sculpture which she also carefully painted.

A rather stunning *HEDGEHOG* I'm sure you'll all agree!!
