I had a strange request today from another Doctor which took me by surprise initially. She asked me if I could take someones pacemaker out!. I misunderstood initially thinking she meant from a living person but then quickly realised it needed to be removed from a recently deceased patient.
The body is due to be cremated and if these aren't removed they have a tendency to go bang at the crematorium which obviously wouldn't be good!!
