It's a small world!

Do you ever have days where the world seems a very small place?

The internet is an amazing thing! I use it everday as a means of communication, information finding and for various forms of...cough...entertainment!! But seriously there are some days where I am astounded at how powerful a thing it is.

Take the last 24 hours for example. I have been able to talk to people in places as far flung as Australia, Spain and Cumbria, while at the same time catch up with people I haven't seen for 20 years. I have also been able to find out how many KiloJoules are in a KiloCalorie (who says I'm on a diet?!) and changed my electricity supplier at the click of a button.

I've been trying to imagine what the world would be like without a pc linked up to the internet but the thought scares me.

Yes, I think you're right...I need to get out more!!
